About Me

TO ALL MY ART STUDENTS OUT THERE!... The year of 2005/06 at Vandalia was one of the BEST teaching experiences in ART that I've had yet! Of course, we had to get use to each other, but after a few weeks I felt that our class had become unique in so many ways.. the different personalities, talents, emotions, and just every day events that happen to surface while we were working on our art! I miss all of you and this "myspace" thing has been a great way to keep in touch with some of the BEST ART STUDENTS I've ever known! Keep creating, NEVER give up no matter how hard it seems, live passionately, and keep your dreams in reach!

My Interests

My passion is art, photography, music, and writing! When I'm teaching or creating, I'm at my VERY best! It's the best way I can express who I am and what I'm all about. I'm not too complicated, but I am a perfectionist when it comes to myself and my work. I have a tendency of being too nice to the general population out there... its just the ppl who are closest to me, that see me for who I really am!

I'd like to meet:

The multi-talented, ever mysterious "bad boy" Johnny Depp
Angelina Joli with all that "body art"

Angelina doing her thing in the movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"

Music:

I love R&B, Soul, Disco, Funk, Classic Rock of the 70's and 80's, of course the Pop and New Wave era of the 80's, the 90's didn't seem to have much of an identity, so I listened to lots of Jazz and Classical music, and actually studied Classical piano, along with Kylie, under the inspirational instruction of pianist and teacher, Joe Stefanits, who in my world, is the most amazing pianist!

Movies:

I loved "LABYRINTH" with David Bowie because I love fantasy, ugly little goblins, and the goblin king, Bowie. "DUMB AND DUMBER", because it always makes me laugh. I would have to say, that "THE ENGLISH PATIENT" is my all-time favorite! Beautiful photography, intricate story line, and amazing acting.. no wonder it received 9 Academy Awards in 1996! Anything with Johnny Depp.. except his role in the chocolate factory movie.. that was one messed up flick!
Johnny Depp was up to his "awesome" usual in this portrayal of George Jung, a cocaine dealer of the 70's and 80's, who is now serving a 60 year sentence in a federal prison. Remember.. just don't do it, no matter how cool it looks!
I love this movie! Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche were amazing together... lots of depth, a little whimsical, and luscious chocolate scenes!
I hated Johnny Depp in this movie! The character was way too "out there" for Johnny's persona. Paul Reubens aka Pee-Wee Herman would have been a perfect candidate for this wacky role!
Angelina Joli is one of my fav celebs! She has such an unusual mix of unleashed beauty, boldness, and mysticism all wrapped up into one! She was awesome in the movie, GIA, which she gave it her all when it came to portraying the late model and her demise to her addiction.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do, I love "CSI MIAMI" and "Forensic Files", basically anything with a twist! Anyway, when I'm absolutely bored, I will lower my standards and watch that pretty much worthless show, "GIRLS NEXT DOOR", but I just can't do it anymore because of the fake laughs, bleached blondes, and boob jobs... besides Hefner is 85 yrs old and some! What are these girls thinking... fame and fortune?

Books:

Books.. basically my photoshop and photography books at the moment. In each lesson in my photoshop book it always says, this will take you about 45 minutes to complete.. well it ends up taking me twice that amount!... so what does that tell ya? I'm not quite there when it comes to being a computer geek.

Heroes:

My dad, who passed away when I was only 21. He was the most wonderful person and he loved me unconditionally. He contracted AIDS through a blood transfusion. He lived his entire life suffering with hemophilia but always kept his faith in God! I never saw him run since he was always crippled but I always saw that wonderful smile on his face.My high school art teacher, Mr. Schoen. He is the reason I am an art teacher today. He was my constant inspiration during high school and in college. I miss him so much. He was killed in February 06 in a tragic car accident... I love you, Mr. Schoen.. you will always be remembered in my heart, mind, and soul!Dean, my cousin, who loves me no matter what I do in my life!
