I actually have cable now, but try not to watch it often. When I turn it on, I end up sitting there and wasting hours of my time.
I highly recommend anything by Francine Rivers! Her books, especially the Mark of the Lion trilogy, have permanently impacted my life. The Chronological Bible was a great thing for me to read too (it puts things in the order they happened so you can get a better sense of the history and context). Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer...Captivating by the Eldridges... One of the most purely entertaining, clever books I've read was called The Diary of A Provincial Lady, written by...E.M. Delafield, I think?...Jane Austen classics...
My parents...my older sister who fought a good fight...Christians who have kept the faith.
