My Interests

Movies:

"Woman in the dunes" by Hiroshi Teshigahara, "Come and see", "The house of fools", "Blue velvet", "Solaris" (Tarkovsky's), "Mulholland drive", "City of lost children", "Delicatessen", "Last night", "Amelie", "Adventures of Baron Munchhausen", "Love and war", "Lesson of Faust" (Ian Svankmejer) and "Otik". I love the old Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" and by the Russian animation artists "Shinel'", "Ezhik v tumane".

Television:

My father and I really love South Park: such lovable little chidlets. Other than that, I watch the news or read the news. TV is a rather poor source of entertainment.

Books:

Few of current and past favorites include (but not limited to) Nabokov ("Whispers in the Dark" "Lolita"), Pelevin ("Generation "P"" "Buddha's Little Finger" "Life of Insects" "Omon Ra" "Hermit and Sixfinger", etc.), Italo Calvino, Garcia Marquez ("One Hundred Years of Solitude"), Abraham Herschel ("God in Search of Man" "Sabbath") , Mikhail Bulgakov (anything and everything), Franz Kafka ("The Trial"), Sartre, Akutagawa Ryuonska, Herman Hesse ("The bead game", short stories and fairy tales, "The journey to the east", "Siddhartha"), Julio Kortazar ("Hopscotch"), Jorge Borges, and Kenzaburo Oe.
