The first two years of the band were very influenced by hardcore bands such as Rorschach and Born Against. The sound was very heavy with a desperate screaming voice. In 1992 Greg founds Concrete and leaves the band. Chiara with her powerful screaming voice joins the band. Tommy, already lead singer for Concrete, starts playing guitar with Student Zombie. In the golden days of Roman Hardcore (with bands like Concrete, Comrades, Evidence (in wich Flai plays guitar), Opposite Force, Separation, Open Season, One step Ahead) Student Zombie are one of the probably most peculiar bands at least for having two women playing in a scene mostly dominated by males.

When Emiliano leaves the band Matteo (ex-Evidence, Comrades) takes his place.
The band evolves to a more melodic and various kind of music.
After recording the Advance demo tape "winter special" the band records their first and only LP "Student Zombie".
The bands records in the studio of famous Italian indie band Yuppiflu.
The LP is acclaimed by international music magazines and fanzines.
