Sympathetic Rage is a currently a side project in the making while myself,
Jonathan is currently playing bass for Mickael Maddison's live band:

I estimate this project will be a long time in the making.
The musical dream of Sympathetic Rage is to take the four peice rock band as we know it, and disregard the rules, treating drums and bass alike with guitar and singer as if they were part of an old classical 4 peice string quartet or an ancient concerto by many of the greats. Where all instruments are equal, whether man says they are or not. And where even drums are allowed to pile layers upon layers of varying melody into the equation.
It's a dream that has met with an abnoxious amount of criticism as long as I've had it. But that dream has come back time and time again.
Sympathetic Rage currently has several songs in the making but I expect it will be months before any full tunes are available.
Until then there may soon be some improvised 'for fun' bass guitar rants available.
In the meantime I'll be busy keeping up the backend in Mickael Maddison's live band.

A cook happened to record this little clip on his digital camera. A small going away party for the first civilian employees being sent home from Camp Julien in Kabul Afghanistan (where I was working at the time - Nov 2005). Imagine a 5 hour unrehearsed cover session with a big bonfire/bbq, friends and coworkers, and beer, deep in the desert, after you've been locked up in a military compound for many months, and you're two weeks from going home. I'm on the red bass, playing behind the singer. Not bad audio for a digital camera. Thanks for the video Ed. And thanks to Damon and Scott for letting me join them.
