About Me

I've been playing guitar since I was thirteen. Born in Mississippi, moved to Alabama at sixteen, and Nashville at the tender age of twenty-seven. I used to play writer's nights as often as I could. Played with a local progressive band called "The Grinning Plowman" (I was their 3rd guitar player) who were signed to an independent label called Carlyle Records where they made two records before I joined the band. At about that time I was playing some opening gigs when I met Jan Pulsford, who was the backing keyboardist for The Thompson Twins. She later went onto write with Cindy Lauper. Shortly after that I kind of went my own way and put music by the side to get married and start a family. Now I have a beautiful and very smart five year old, who if there was anything I could teach him is to never give up on your dreams. Well, I'm pursuing mine again and am about to go into the studio with Rich Eckhardt, who is the lead guitarist for Toby Keith and record my first CD.

My Blog

Some of my life.

I started playing acoustic guitar in Mississippi, when I was thirteen with my first real guitar a Japanese made Cortley 12-string. I think the very first song I played on it was "More Than A Feeling" ...
