About Me

This page is dedicated to Thousand Yard Stare, a band who rode into the early-90's on the coat-tails of baggy. Sadly, they never really caught on, probably because they were just too tuneful with their guitars... plus they had Christian names like Giles and Dominic, which wasn't likely to get them past the first stop on the Tube line of musical stardom.Trivia... the band's record company was called the Stifled Aardvark Co. Ltd, whilst their records were distributed via Polydor. Producer Stephen Street (of Smiths/Blur affiliation) worked on both TYS albums.0-0 aet videoComeuppance videoWideshire Two videoButtermouth videoThousand Yard Stare playing Version of Me - Live 'The Beat'Thousand Yard Stare playing Debutante - Live 'The Beat'Version of Me video and InterviewThousand Yard Stare - Live on 'James Whale' playing 'Comeuppance'Thousand Yard Stare - Live on 'James Whale' playing 'Cottager'Many thanks to Kevin Moxon for these videos!
