Black Butterfly gives a new interpretation to some well known biblical characters. Think The Da Vinci code meets Underworld. It weaves seamlessly through centuries of steamy mythical characters and dark secrets to reveal the human stories of true love and the redemptive powers of faith and forgiveness.
Spanning generations of women in hidden, cursed Butterfly Key, Black Butterfly is a epic of forbidden love, temptations, and a dazzling battle between good and evil to determine the fate of mankind.

I'd love to meet people who share my interest or those who can expose me to new and interesting ways of looking at our world. I have a dream to one day own a run down farmhouse house in Florence, Italy so I'm very interested in meeting Italians or expats living in Tuscany.I'd like to meet people from anywhere in the world who can become lifelong friends.Would love to meet other writers especially female erotic romance authors or publishers. Writers, please feel free to add me to your friends lists. I think that the more we support each other, the more successful we can all be at this craft we all love so much.

I got my start writing in women's romance magazines. I still love to write for Black romanace and Jive magazines. My latest short story appeared in the Feb.07 issue. I will also be published in the second edition of the wildly popular Caramel Flava, edited by Zane and due out later this year.LOVING GABRIEL- DUE SEPT. 2007This thirty-five thousand word category romance was inspired by a life long love of romance novels which I began reading at thirteen. I strayed away for a while as an adult because I grew tired of the paint by numbers situations and characters that I sometimes read about. One of the aims in writing this story was to show that love and passion sometimes come in shades of gray. I also felt a void when looking for characters with strong ethnic backgrounds and heritages. This story is an interracial love story involving the untypical combination of Chinese and Spanish characters. In our multi-racial societies I tried not to make race the main conflict that the mixed race couple faces. I wanted to look beyond that and portray them as just people with problems to work out. One of my biggest complaints with too many traditional romances is that they make their hero more perfect than he needs to be. Though he may have his faults he is always strong. In LOVING GABRIEL, I wanted to explore what would happen when a man acted from a place of weakness and abused his wife. The issue was personal to me because my parents lived in that situation for a short time. But my father passed away before I was old enough to wonder if there could be love after abuse. Gabriel and Jade wrestle with this question and in the end love prevailed. In the beginning of the story Jade is preparing to leave her husband. After years in a tumultuous marriage she finally finds the courage to leave him after an unexpected and innocent kiss from her friend Brian leads to Gabriel putting him in the hospital. But the final straw was his assault on her. Fearing that things will never change Jade takes their seven year old daughter and goes back home to Tall Pines, a fictional South Florida town, while Gabriel spends the night in jail. Running home to her conservative Chinese parents is scary especially since her mother never approved of her marrying a Cuban musician despite his success and fame. Jade doesn’t know how to tell her family about the abuse she’s been hiding especially since she’s not sure how she feels about her husband. Her heart wants only to remember the good times of which they were many. Could only a handful of fist fights over fifteen years classify Gabriel as an abusive man? Learning from her child that she often started the fights herself leaves Jade more confused than ever. Meanwhile Gabriel comes home to a house void of human contact with only a note from Jade and his demons to keep him company. Loosing his family was confirmation that he was the monster that his own abusive father had predicted he would become. But while serving time for his assault he is reunited with an old friend who urges him to deal with the pain from his past to save his future. He follows his family back to his childhood home in Florida and while he and Jade are both trying to figure out their next step they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. Then someone begins to stalk Jade and their daughter bringing them even closer together. Jade still trusts Gabriel more than anyone else but can he come to her rescue when she’s kidnapped during a Florida hurricane? Jade’s stalkers turns out to be two of the last people that they would’ve suspected. Having Gabriel risk his own life to save her gives him the redemption that he so desperately needs and renews a love that nothing had been able to completely destroy. How these two people struggle to overcome everything that stands in the way of their love define what a romance novel should be. The raw passion they share shows what an erotic novel should be. My main aim in marrying the two genres is to show people that sex doesn't have to involve a threesome to be hot. I am an eternal romantic and believe strongly that the best sex is with someone you love.
My heroes are mostly women beginning with my mother and sister and extending to Oprah, Maya Angelou, Tina Turner, women who fought through slavery and civil rights to Alicia Keys, basically women who are doing their thing and living their dreams inspire me to do the same.
