About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Thanks very much for stopping by my page. I hope you have stopped by to listen to a few songs....I'm bad for that myself. I'm not much of a music listener at the computer...so fergetabouwdit.

Currently, I'm having fun playing with The Overplayers with good bud Dan Buzanko who is a very natural songwriter & fine fella. And also drumming with Alfie Smith who is also a great blues slide player & songwriter. I've also played with many other bands including The Sweaters, The Gripes, New Roses, Rock'n'Roll 4 Dummies, Powerclown, and Streetflusher.

A good friend of mine, Jeff Carter once remarked that he thought it was funny that if you take what you hear about the state of current music at face value you'd miss the endless amount of good & incrediably gifted & talented folks making music that may not fit the "market mold" per say. Or he said something to that effect. I keep thinking that now I know how true that is....i mean every week I find more great music...albeit not at the computer but by being out & seeing acts. I don't think there is an end to how true that remark is...even if you already believe in it. Ok, off the soapbox...

Band Members: Finally a couple of new songs are here. I thinks the dry spell is over. I Know Now & The Man Shame Forgot are both inspired from real world events but that have nothing to do with reality either. The feelings are right but the facts are way off. I got a bad feeling I mighta stole the giraffe line from somewhere but I'm hoping it was a dream. My old pal Brent let me use his studio one week & a bunch of these recordings are from then. You can hear him on the bg's on those tracks. Lately I've been just using the desktop mic & throwing ideas down as a pre-production kinda process. When I Get Back started writing itself in the morning and by the time The Overplayers played our gig at 1pm I had all the lyrics scratched out. So when I got home at 2am (of course) I recorded it but this version i did a couple of months later when i wasn't worryin bout wakin anybody up. The idea for the song I owe to Kordlord who told me that everything is recorded in the sky.
Influences: Brent Larmet, NoMeansNo, NRBQ, Pete Campbell, Kuba, Sex Pistols, Pat Prine, The Kinks, Randy Newman, Mark Boland, Chixdiggit, The Royal Grand Prix, Calvin Klown, Jeff Carter, Bill Evans, Michelle Alviar-Miller, The Real McKenzies, Ziggy's Fix, Sketchy, Danny Buzanko, Treecrusher, Funkyard, Iron Maiden, Dave Clark, Rheostatics, Bill Featherston, The Young Fresh Fellows, Redd Kross, Ben Folds Five, Wilco, The Rest, Ted, The Show Business Giants, REM, Fastbacks, Foo Fighters, Kyuss, ACDC, Frank Sinatra, soo much more.
Sounds Like: These songs sound like they are all over the map to me. I plan to rotate what is posted here so if anyone can tell me what they sound like that'd give me an objective point to go from. I can hear the hecklers already.
