About Me

Jason Vereker has been DJing since the early 90's and his first break came when he moved to University in Manchester. After handing a tape (remember those?) into the infamous Dry Bar to try and get a slot he was instead asked to play at the Hacienda and so his first club appearance was behind the decks of one of the most famous clubs in the world!
Since then Jason’s never looked back, playing across the UK and further afield into Europe. During this time he made his first ventures to Ibiza whilst appearing in a host of Manchester/UK clubs and closing the Retro tent at Homelands. Jason also appeared on radio doing guest mixes for Kiss, Galaxy and Key 103 in Manchester.
Since joining Hed Kandi he has continued with a national and international schedule which has seen him visit Vancouver, Munich, Ibiza, Marbella, Rotterdam and Turkey as well as playing at most of the major clubs in the UK.
Jason’s pretty easy going when it comes to DJing and certainly likes to give the crowd what they want. His musical style is quite versatile and covers a few styles of house, from soulful to funky to more twisted vibes. Expect to hear not only the latest tracks but a good dose of classics thrown in for good measure! Another musical love is Soul, Funk, Disco and classic Hip-Hop – all of which he gets a chance to play out at the long running Manchester institution Funkademia where he's been a regular for a few years.
