Coming off the back of a two year exile; a young fella goes into a gig to meet an old friend who spent the last year or two gigging on the other side of the Atlantic. They strike up a song writing-partnership, they are joined by another old friend on bass, and some new blood on drums... The Hideaways are born!
The Hideaways surpass the latest crop of bands, their melodies derive from the greats, such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash, and more recently the romance and nostalgia of The Libertines, and Ryan Adams. They pedal a retro sound with a new energy.
The band have an instant chemistry and after some time kicking their heels the pieces of the jigsaw finally fitted together like they are supposed to. This is just the start! The Hideaways are four guys who went there, lived it to the full, and came back for more. Its almost like it was meant to be; and whatever happens this time around, they'll leave behind a stack of tunes which you'll not forget in a hurry.
