About Me

I am the guitarist for "Slick Nickel" and the "Downtown Horns". I've been playing since the early age of 9. I've been married to the lovely Robin (Massey) Mayhall for 20 years. We watched our daughter (Leah) play volleyball for the state championship this year - WCHS got runner up in the entire state! My oldest daughter (Courtney) works for Boeing, and made us grandparents - twice !! God has truly blessed me with all of my family, friends, and fans.I have worked with: Pat Upton (I love You More Today Than Yesterday), Jeff Cook ( Alabama) Jim Seales ( Shenandoah ) Rod Roddy ( Lousiana's Le Roux ), Stan Munsey ( Shenandoah ) , Wayne Chaney ( Little Richard ), Bob Wray, N C Thurman, Chad Bradford, Kerry Gilbert, Carl Damone, James Counts, and many other talented folks. I worked with Tim Kinsey, and Doug Stokes on a Nashville project with Bill Crittenden ( Love a Little Stronger ).OPENED FOR : Johnny Paycheck, Shenandoah, Confederate Railroad, T G Sheppard, Merle Haggard, Jeff Cook, SRA, Highway 101, John Conlee, Angela Hacker, Gary Nichols, etc.I have played on numerous recording sessions across the southeast.I've played the Big Springs Jam ( Huntsville ) Panoply Arts Festival, McFarland Park ( Muscle Shoals ), Hall of Fame ( Tuscumbia ), Looney's Tavern, and the 2008 Coal Fest ( Brilliant ) .
