My name is Anthony Appezzato, everyone calls me AJ. I spent most of my life playing soccer which has given me chances to do things most don't. I've played for state and national NCAA titles, and played in other countries. Soon this ambition transfer into snowboarding. I originally got my start by riding at Mountain Creek in New Jersey. In 2003, I started my career riding locally for Burton Snowboards, Anon optics, and Analog outer wear. I also received support from Out of Bounds Snowboard Shop, in my hometown of Scotch Plains, NJ. In 2006 I moved to Colorado in an attempt to further my career in snowboarding. I currently live between Greeley, Co and Denver, Co. Since my move to Colorado I have vastly improved my riding abilities and my style. I am currently riding for my sole sponsor, K2 snowboards. I thank K2 for continuingly giving me multiple opportunities to get better, further my career, and make me a better overall rider. Within this past season I have appeared in many professional level contests. I also took part in video shoots and photo shoots. One of my shoots at Winter Park resort was with Mack Dawg Productions ‘People’ film crew. As a result of shooting, I have gotten much coverage and publicity for my sponsor. In the up coming season of 2008/2009 I would love to represent any other companies who are interested.
