About Me

Well let's see. I am a mom and I love being a mom. I have been happily married for 5 1/2 years. My son is 14 months old. He is my pride and joy. I stay home to take care of Timothy and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have taught Kindergarten for two years and I love teaching. I am glad to be staying home but I will return to teaching in a couple of years. God is the center of my life. I am doing my best to raise my son the way God would want me to. I attend a small church with few young members. I love learning about God. I enjoy Sunday school and what I am learning from the older women in my class. I would love to teach a children's Sunday school class someday.

My Interests

I love reading and writing. I enjoy swimming when I have time but lately that is not often. I love children's books and have a huge collection. One day I want to write a children's book. I have started a couple of times but the books always sound better in my mind than on paper. I also collect Disney Goofy items.

I'd like to meet:

More young Christian couples with babies so I can have someone to talk to with generally the same values as me. I would like to meet more young couples at church so I can actually talk face to face.

Music:

I enjoy listening to oldies and Christian music. I also listen to a lot of classical music. I like alternative Christian music the best but I don't listen to it much with my son Timothy. I listen mostly to classical and praise and worship music. Todd Agnew is pretty god. Toby Mac is one of my favorites. For classical music I like to buy the kind for babies because they have the exact same classical music as the CD's for adults at about half the price. :0)

Movies:

After having a son I don't spend too much time watching movies. Josh and I just went to see Eragon with my sister Melody. That was a great movie, of course, the book was better. I like National Treasure and Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2, Sahara, Chasing Liberty. I also like Harry Potter movies but the first three are better than the fourth.

Television:

When I have time I like to watch 7th Heaven, Smallville, and Gillmore Girls. Gillmore Girls is definitely my favorite. Sometimes I like to watch SuperNatural but only if Timothy is asleep. I normally don't like scary things but Supernatural is different. I don't often watch TV since I am home with Timothy and he doesn't go to bed too early yet. Once in a while Timothy and I will watch Sesame Street or the Backyardagains.

Books:

I love reading books. My all time favorite is the Bible. I have been reading it more frequently lately and I must say it is more interesting than most books I have read. I just finished reading the last Artemis Fowl book that came out along with too many other books to name. I love the library. I have read all the Harry Potter books and they are some of my favorite. I have read Eragon and Eldest and I love those books. Over the summer I read Inkheart and Inkspell and those are great books. I mostly like to read books for young adults or children. I guess I am still a kid at heart. I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and A Series of Unfortunate Events. I have enough children's books to open my own library and I have read almost all of the books I own.

Heroes:

I guess you could say my hero is my mom. She is always there for me and she is great with Timothy. When I have a problem I can turn to her for a solution or just for someone to listen. My sister also helps out with that. I love being part of a great Christian family that is close and loves to be there for each other. I guess my whole family is kind of like my hero. Of course, my biggest and all time hero is Jesus Christ. Without Christ my life would be worthless, but with Christ I have a purpose. I know what I am supposed to do. I have someone to turn to in all situations of my life. I am so thankful that Jesus died and rose again for me and everyone on earth. This layout is from WhateverLife.com; get yours today!
