Signal began in February of 04 by Dave Lee, Matt Hammer, Kellie Talbot and Ian Fels. Together we have created a brand that takes snowboarding and other passions of ours such as music and art and combines them in a unique way. As professional snowboarders, artists and musicians it is our belief that even though we all love snowboarding, it is our other passions that make us whole. Signal products represent this philosophy.
Bringing back the small business model is important to us. We are building a company that is both fair and honest and strives to reach its long-term goals of being a privately owned company that takes care of employees, riders, and shops.
Core snowboard shops are the ultimate small business. Like most core shop owners, we have started Signal so that we could work in an industry that we love.
Signal snowboards are made in the USA by Five Axis. Dave Lee and Myself have put our own expertise in building the new Signal molds and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We have a progressive freestyle series that ranges from a 135 to a 163 with dimensions that are carefully thought out so as to perform perfectly for today’s terrain parks and the backcountry. We are continuing the wide series in a 155, 159, and 163. Wide boards tend to loose sight of performance in order to accompany a bigger foot, but as you will see in our dimensions, the sidecut and widths are much more progressive than most wide boards on the market.
Our clothing, stickers, etc. are all screened by friends and local small business printers. All products are then shipped to our headquarters in Seattle and shipped from there.
We work closely with the reps to make sure all your questions are answered and we are always easy to contact. Customer service is a top priority and if you would like to talk with any of us in person, we are available.
For me its crazy like, snowboarding crazy. I just love it. Every year when summer comes I just imagine the next winter. I've been completely blessed to be able to do what I love for a job. If you could call it that. Its a passion. Praise the Lord.
