About Me

Chris Stan was born into a musical family in Central New Jersey during the mid nineteen sixties and continues the family musical tradition. As a pre-teen he relocated to New England.Influences include a blend of bluegrass, jazz, classic rock, blues, R & B, American and Chinese folk music. He has always had special interest in cross-over and freestyle artists. He is a singer-songwriter-performer who plays keyboards, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, recorder and of course, kazoo. He'll also try to play any other instument that you place in front of him! He specializes in satire as well as western adaptation and interpertation of Asian folk music.Stan's music comes in a spectrumof flavours that carries folksy bluesy rock 'n roll overtones -- even when he's performing Chinese folk songs! He also plays Blues, Americana folk , and Bluegrass and loves to experiment. ************************************************************ ***** "I welcome collaboration, from any genre or tradition!!
