Black Sunrise

Black Sunrise is a German Heavy Metal four-piece. Essentially influenced by 80’s Speed and Thrash they are loud, fast and… sometimes quite melodic.They started way back in 2001 like any other garage metal band with a slightly shaped vision of “playing some fuckin’ heavy metal, dude”. In the very beginning they had to struggle with a more or less vacant vocalist and bassist part. Since then, they spent a couple of years hanging around with a rather semi-professional project of playing every now and then. But at least they grew together as a musical team and, what is probably even more important, as friends. Finally in September 2006 with a solid and constructive line-up they gained enough energy to get the wheels rolling and came up with a handful of new songs which were different and intended to carry the spirit of Speed and Thrash Metal leviathans. Fast arrangements, aggressive drumming, piercing guitar dualism, powerful bass playing, rough but melodic vocals and above all: Heavy fuckin’ Metal.
Having released their debut “Dystopia” in April 2007 they spent the seasons upon the stages. Their greatly expressive and uncompromising live set has been caught on their first ever live-recording entitled “In The Name Of… (Live)” and was unleashed in early 2008. Since August 2008 the guys are finally back in the studio to solidify their latest material. The first Black Sunrise full-length studio record is likely to become a real punchy and ass-kicking piece of Heavy Metal and should be out around summer 2009.
