Mark Waddington is a professional Magician with a flare for all things entertainment. He is a well respected performer combining astounding magic with cheeky comedy and wit, to create a unique blend of entertainment.
Although only in his late teens, his award winning stage act and stunning close up magic has not gone unrecognized. Professional Magician and pick pocket, Mark Raffles has said that Mark is "the most original magic act he's seen" and 80's comedian Jimmy Cricket has nothing but praise for the young star after working with Mark on several occasions
Mark has appeared in some of the most prestigious venues within the UK, including several appearances at the City Varieties Music Hall, Leeds. When he was 14, he was lucky enough to become the youngest ever solo artiste to appear on the famed Stage. Working at the City Varieties has helped Mark become the success he is due to making strong contacts and gaining the trust of well known and respected entertainers.
As well as his award winning Stage and Close Up, Mark is an accomplished Childrens Magician and holds regular contracts with Childrens Museum EUREKA! In Halifax, as well as being the resident Magician and Compere for the Skipton Waterways Festival, now in its 7th year.
Mark has been lucky enough to be supporting Magician for many big names. A recent appearance was supporting Channel 4 Magician Paul Zenon during his Stand-up show, as well as performing his comedy magic act with Jimmy Cricket, Johnnie Casson, Bobby Knutt, Gorden Kaye, and many, many more.
As well as countless stage and Close-Up performances, Mark has built up a large catalogue of media appearances. He is a regular Magician for BBC Radio Leeds, performing magic on the radio, as well as performing on behalf of the BBC at local events. He has a regular show on his local Radio Station, Fresh Radio, where he amuses and bemuses devoted listeners. He is in the pages of newspapers around Yorkshire on a weekly basis.
As well as his public achievements, mark was lucky enough to be granted access to the Bradford Magic Circle at the tender age of 13. Membership isn't usually granted until reaching 18.
2008 is tipped to be a big year for Mark, with the introduction of a Brand new hour long comedy Magic show, called "Too Lazy to get a real Job...". Mark will have you rolling in the aisles with his unique style and razor sharp wit, combined with a cheeky smile, but spellbound at the same time with mind blowing Magic and Illusion.
