Subtonic is something that won't die, won't burn out, won't fade, cannot be
watered down, the unsplittable atom. It is a refusal to turn away, give in,
stop marching, stop looking toward something different, something else.
There has to be something else or what's the point? Something has to be the
point or what else is there?
Subtonic goes beyond childhood, beyond teenage fads, unrealistic hopes,
unexplored potential - who the fuck says you can't? No one has any right
over anyone else. How can they? How dare they?
In contrast there is apathy. Apathy is more poisonous than anything else.
Apathy suffocates without smothering, the absent killer. Treat apathy with
defiance, 'The more you ignore me, the closer I get'.
Subtonic is your guiderope, a shoulder, a chink of light, the only solid
thing in a sea of driftwood.
The stars are so big, the Earth is so small, stay as you are.
