Tracy McGrady Award (the player who’s stock rose the highest in camp)- Guy Landry-Edi- 6-7, 205 senior SF (Northridge, Ca.)The hands-down top defender all week at Philadelphia University was the biggest all-star game snub. The Ron Artest-type was never afraid to dive on the floor for loose balls, defend the best player on the floor regardless of position, and his defensive intensity was contagious on the floor. No slouch on the offensive end, the French born player possessed solid ball handling skills as evidenced by him running the point at various times. His good athletic ability coupled with his college-ready body made him hard to stop whenever he drove to the basket. Under the radar heading into camp, UCLA and many other designer colleges will be inquiring about his services after his stellar three-day performance.
