I'm a big fan of Metal and Electronica...yeah I know there are plethora of genres but still. Some great bands if you haven't tried them are Tool, In Flames, Man with No Name, Juno Reactor, Coheed and Cambria, um...and stuff
Books:
I love books...they are good. Read Terry Goodkind, his series The Sword of Truth is crazy good. Plus the body of work of David Eddings. If you like distopian novels try A Handmaids Tale by Margret Atwood, very good book.
