Killing time
Drinking Diet Coke. ONLY Diet Coke.
Pretending I'm shorter than 5"11 so that I don't feel like I'm approaching drag queen territory if I ever wear heels.
Pretending one day I'll make the most of the time I've got.
Just plain old pretending.
TV, internet, socialising, but not too much. Things most people enjoy. Dancing like a dafty. Sitting in a pub all day with classy mates. Anything that gets me laughing.
And most importanty? Playing Guitar Hero 3 on medium with my gammy hand, pretending I'm a pro.
Cynical bastards. People who won't give me that half patronising, half-mocking 'Oh bless, you're having a bad day again? Poor you.' look if I seem particularly disgusted with life. People with similar interests too I suppose, they're always a plus for starting conversation. Just be friendly and I'm sure we'll get along famously. People who know how to use apostrophes correctly also make me tick.

I really like a lot of pop music too, anything catchy that I can sing along to suits me just fine.

To be honest I'll generally watch most films, so long as theyre not westerns or war films, as they tend to bore me.
One Tree Hill. Learned all my life lessons from it. Hollyoaks. Because I'm pure white trash.
Augusten Burrough's memoirs - Running With Scissors, Dry and Magical Thinking.
Pretty much all of Jane Austin's works, especially Pride and Prejudice.
Margaret Atwood - The Blind Assassin
Joanne Harris - Chocolat
Arthur Golden - Memoirs of a Geisha
Those are just a few favourites.
I have people I admire, but I wouldn't really call them my heroes. Unless anyone knows why this section of my profile refuses to be the same colour font as the rest. And if you can fix it. Then I might have a hero. For a day. ...So I basically admire anyone who plays a part in making my life better. So that'd be friends and family mainly.
