About Me

This page is a tribute to the greatest defensive end of all time Reggie White. Reggie White was a great football player, and an even better man. I had the pleasure of meeting him once and I will never forget it.
Here's a link to Reggie's son and wife inducting him into the hall of fame. The link is to Packman1265's website. Check out his website it has videos of all the hall of fame inductions for the class of 2006 and some great games on it.
Reggie's Hall of Fame Video
Reggie White rose the bar for defensive ends. He set several N.F.L. records. He went to the pro bowl thirteen straight years, and is a two time defensive player of the year. He is also the Packers and Eagles all-time sack leader. This year he became a first ballot hall of famer. His number is one of five to be retired in the illustrious history of Lambeau Field. When people talk about defensive ends they compare them to Reggie White. He is the gold standard. He was the guy offensive lineman dreaded facing. He tossed around offensive linemen like they were nothing. He was the leader in any locker room he was ever in. Reggie White is survived by his wife Sara and their two children Jeremy and Jecolia. The day he passed away was one of the saddest of my life, and it was one of the hardest things I had to tell my dad. Great player. Greater man. R.I.P. Reggie. God bless you.
Reggie White wanted to be remembered for what he did away from the football field, and not what he did on it. More players should follow in Reggie's footsteps. Keeping with Reggie's wish here's a list of his accomplishments away from the football field:
"He was a compassionate father, a loving husband, a selfless friend, and a loyal teammate." Jeremy White
He worked tirelessly in the offseason with inner-city youth. He was a positive influence on so many young people.
University of Tennessee graduate.
The leader of the locker room. When players had problems Reggie was there to listen.
He became an ordained minister at age 17. When he entered the N.F.L. he earned the nickname "The Minister of Defense."
He was an associate minister at the Inner-City Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Reggie's wife Sara is the president of the board of directors for the Urban Hope Entrepreneur Center in Green Bay.
NOTE: All this information is about Reggie White. Except the city.
