Tejumold and Johari Newton, also known as The Newton Twins, began their professional careers as musicians, songwriters, and producers on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. As successful as the critically acclaimed and 5x Grammy award-winning project was, they have grown substantially and moved on in the eight years since producing several acts such as, Nelly, Christina Aguilera, D’ Angelo, Aretha Franklin, D12, and Mary J. Blige to name a few under their banner, Burn N Bush Productions.What sets the Newton Twins apart from other elite producers is how they approach their craft. While sampling has been taken to great knew heights by the likes of Kanye West, Just Blaze and The Neptunes, their eclectic musical background and mastery of several instruments has afforded them the ability to take references from the entire body of modern music and incorporate those references, sampling themselves instead of records. Combined with Joharis songwriting dexterity, this approach allows them to realize their musical ideals and intentions through a single, focused voice.On their current course of releasing their debut album “The Burn N Bush Sessions” to be released summer “08. The Newton Twins legacy will be an honest, organic, and intellectual musical contribution to the Hip-Hop, Pop, R & B, and Soul world.
