About Me

RM & CM are brothers who were born & raised on the Lower East Side of NYC. Now a breeding ground for raw Emcees. They lived blocks away from Chinatown, City Hall, & the Brooklyn Bridge. Alfred E. Smith Projects. This the place they called home. The part they lived at was better known as Darkside of Smith. Here, RM would grow to be known as a trouble maker, out & about, ready to scrap with whoever wanted it. CM was the total opposite, more to himself & known for his artistic talent. RM would eventually move out to the Lillian Ward projects down FDR Drive. Here, he learned the hustlin game. This is where CM first heard his brother spit. Before then, CM only dabbled in writing, not knowing his older brother was mastering his craft. 4th St & Ave C is where RM & his crew hung out. This was the spot that changed CM's life. As the cypher started, each kid spit a verse & RM closed down shop with his raw flow & delivery. From that point on, CM wanted to be just as good as his older brother & would go on to write 100's of rhymes. The two would record dirty tracks together off a small radio with a build in mic. Many were surprised to hear CM flow, so fluidly including RM & earned respect from his peers. In 1996, RM would leave NYC & move to MD. It was here that he would connect with Producer/Emcee Doc Becket & K-Skills. Doc Becket would later go on to release a track on wax call "Bad Motherfucka", featuring RM. It was a cult classic. CM would also move to MD a few months later. CM would spend this time honing & perfecting his flow. In 2000, CM hit the studio to record his 6 tracks EP titled "CM Specail". Raw tracks produced by Doc Becket bled with CM's emotions. Each track showed CM's range from the party track "Dat One", to the rugged "After Dark", to the deep "Just Cause". The EP would never be release due to lack of funds & would forever be buried. That didn't stop the duo from writing & producing numerous tracks throughout the years. They met up with some of Maryland's hungry & raw EmCees & would later form Da Coaliton. RM would script, produce & be featured on tons of tracks & CM went on to write three albums full of solo tracks & teamed up with VA's Neo Flames to form Draft Picks. Together they put out two mixtapes (Homecoming & Enter The Draft Picks) featuring RM, Low (younger brother & unoffical third member of Deadly Combo) & Sin City's own, Sinister. Though Deadly Combo & Draft Picks would stay busy making music, neither has gotten the chance to get the right ear to hear them.Fast foward to 2007. On April 3, RM turned himself in, to do his bid of 3-6 years. His words to CM was, keep the movement moving. No time to stop now. With RM's faith in CM, stronger than ever, CM put a halt on the Deadly Combo project & started on Classic Material Vol. 1. Bared to wave the Deadly Combo flag alone, CM put 14 solid tracks for the people who love Hip-Hop & to show them the skills that RM already knew he had. CM worked with new producers to give the project a much more broader vibe. Producers like C the Realness, A Better Tomorrow, Arkutek, Young Chief, & more lent their talent to create a buzz worthy classic. The Phresh produced "True" has become CM's unofficial athem for the streets. As soon as Vol. 1 was wrapped up, CM began rapidly working on Vol. 2. One track, inspired by a letter from RM to his younger brother CM, was created using the rhyme on the letter he sent. Battle Scars produced the beat to "I Believe (Prison Notes)", what should become a instant classic. The producer from Cali, Battle Scars, also produced many other tracks on Vol. 2. Meanwhile, A Better Tomorrow, hailing from Austin Texas, blessed Vol. 2 with two new tracks that are sure to catch the public's ears which include a new street athem, "Public Service Announcement". With a host of other producers on Vol. 2, CM was able to focus more on writing & less on worrying about producing. This marks the first project ever, where CM didn't produce not one track. But he's not complaining. Vol. 2 is shaping up to be a solid follow up to Vol. 1 & is now available for download (click the "here" at the bottom of the Vol. 2 cover for a direct link). But it doesn't stop there. CM is working hard to bring out the project that was suddenly stopped by RM's imprisonment. "Deadly Combo: Calm before the Storm" should be dropping soon. It's been long over due. The two never recorded a full album together, surprisingly. They're about to show the streets what they been missing for a long time. Those who know them, have been anticipating this for over a decade, since they first heard them spit together. With their skills razor sharp, they're about to put something out unlike anything you ever heard. RM's raw B-Boy delivery & CM's fluid flow mesh so well, it's a crime it's taken this long for them to drop an album together. There's plenty of Deadly Combinations out there but nothing quite like this. Free Download of "Classic Material Vol. 1" HEREFree Download of "Classic Material Vol. 2" HERE
