For fun and exercise I do group yoga, pilates, and aerobics, plus machines and free weights at the gym. Catching a movie or curling up at home to a good DVD. Love being out on the water and wake jumping on a jet ski. Not into playing pool or cards. I can handle watching some NASCAR and hockey, and do enjoy watching boxing, but am otherwise not interested in watching sports at all! In addition to performing massages on people, I've also learned to perform pet and Equine Massage (massage on horses). All I can say is that it's the most amazing thing I have ever experienced! Horses are such incredibly intuitive and spiritual beings!
I'm a guy! Like any other, I love to meet available, attractive, smart, sexy, interesting, single women. I'm no different in that respect. I tend to be very loving & caring, yet I am the complete opposite of a "player". I'm very cautious and selective regarding *any* new relationship, and always keep it friends-first until I grow to know and trust someone. You never really know someone's heart & mind (until it's possibly too late) if it's only about the physical from the start. Yeah, life & experience can teach some tough lessons. : )
My CD & MP3 collection is huge. I can't help it! I like everything. Even "Doug FM" seems limited, compared to my wide range of tastes! There was a time when I liked everything but Country, but I've been to several Country concerts now and I'm hooked! I'll never be *totally* converted, but I'm steadily becoming a fan.
I absolutely love going to movies. I see everything that comes out, usually the same weekend it's released. I've seen as many as 140 movies at the theater in a single year. (Yes, I'm a geek -- I keep track.) But I bought a rental property over year ago (a real fixer-upper), which still consumes too much of my spare time and money, so now I'm way behind on the latest movies. :(I like all kinds of movie genres. I especially like anything that can move me emotionally, whether that's laughter, sadness, anger, or horror. The wide range of films let me experience more people, places, and situations than I could ever personally experience in my lifetime. I'd love to experience more while I still have the chance.
Everyone likes CSI & Grey's Anatomy, don't they? I *dislike* CSI Miami - David Caruso irritates me. Can't miss Medium, Rescue Me, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Prison Break, 24, The Sopranos, House. Also a big fan of Myth Busters and Dirty Jobs. I could never have fit all of these into my schedule before TIVO!
Currently working on "A Course In Miracles". (You should Google for it.) Otherwise it's just technical and medical texts out of job necessity. Spanish & Italian language CDs, Finance, and Personal Growth series CDs in my car. Always listening to *something* and always trying to grow!
I'm always for the underdog. Seeing all of the ROCKY movies as a kid had a big impact on me, so yes, Stallone was a hero to me. I don't have any famous heroes anymore. To me, the only real heroes are the real people who positively affect other people's lives - teachers, paramedics, nurses, cops, firemen, people who volunteer in hospitals, shelters, and their community. Sports heroes? No way! Why? Because they can throw, kick, bounce, or hit a ball? And we pay them *millions* for that? Give me a break. People who build houses for Habitat For Humanity and people who give aid to the sick, starving, or poor around the world. People who do these things for very little or even no pay are real heroes to me. And they are the kind of person I aspire to be.
