Welcome to the profile of Fullstop Acrobatic Theatre; an exciting, up and coming acrobatic duet from England and the Netherlands.Fullstop Acrobatic Theatre aims to offer a contemporary look at circus performance, blending traditional acrobatics skills with modern dance and physical theatre techniques.Fullstop is Vicki Steggles from England and Wibbe Pompe from Holland. The company was formed in 2005 during a course at Circomedia, a circus school based in Bristol (UK). Fullstop has since performed internationally, including several shows in 2005 and 2006 at the National Theatre in London and at various festivals, events and theatres in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Hungary and the UK. This includes recently winning fifth prize at the Overijssel Street Theatre Festival in Nijverdal, Holland. We also performed as an alternative support act for the Good, the Bad and the Queen when they played in Bristol in January 2007!We have two different performances: “Is It Me?” was originally directed by John Paul Zaccarini for the National Theatre in 2005. This emotional performance takes the audience on a voyeuristic journey into the bedroom of a couple. Through contact dance, physical theatre and acrobatics the story of the couple’s dying love for each other unfolds.We also have a heart warming performance entitled “Waiting on you”. It combines aerial silks and theatre to tell the story of a heartbroken girl, who is swept off her feet by an intriguing stranger. This piece was developed at the beginning of this year but has already been performed to enthusiastic audiences in Holland, England and Germany. We now also have our own freestanding rig, which means we can perform this piece almost anywhere we like!
