Band Members: Name: Exiles From Eden - Paul and Keith are both originally from the North West but now live and work in the Teesdale area of County Durham. We played in folk clubs as Paul and Keith but when we got our first pub gig, the landlord asked what we were called and it was the first name I could think of. But then again, we are all exiles from somewhere. jeff is our newest and youngest member, he joined us this year and has definitely added depth and texture to the sound.Exiles From Eden are: Keith: flute, whistle, bodhran and vocals. Paul : guitar and vocals. Jeff: bass and mandolinWe have been playing together since 2004 in folk clubs, pubs and festivals across the North of England The core of our music is Irish but the set includes our own songs and tunes and some contemporary material.3 tracks on this site are taken off our first Demo CD - Cauldron Snout recorded in 2006 and then 3 more tracks off our CD Heart of Light recorded February 2008. The Rowan Tree is an original song. Thanks to Rich and Aid for being so brilliant during the recording and a special thanks to Keith's mum for the cheese and branston on the way back North. We are all exiles from somewhere, a face, a sound, a place, a time. Somewhere we can never return though the years spin and the stars burn. But in the music we may find a glimpse of those places left behind. From Galway to Teesdale through the rainy streets of Lancashire, Exiles From Eden's music distils place and time into a rare old brew of soaring melody and driving rhythm. We are all lying in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars.
