THE REVOLT

About Me

Norway’s undaunted hardcore punk rockers The Revolt has finally crawled out of the underground to release their first full-length album!
After 8 years of touring Norway, Sweden and Finland in true DIY-fashion, The Revolt has built a solid fan base among punks as well as metal heads and indie kids in Scandinavia. Their hard-hitting, runaway hardcore, sprinkled with delicate and uncompromising melodies, knocks the word "boredom"straight out of your vocabulary!

While most Norwegian hardcore acts these days gradually leans towards softer musical territory, The Revolt have chosen the opposite path and sought inspiration in extreme metal, resulting in their best recording to date.
“GRAVES OF WASTED DAYS” is the band’s fourth release and it marks a transition to the league of professionals! Their special blend of old skool punk - mixed with modern hardcore - and extreme metal, makes them stand out in a genre-fixated music business.
They have been compared to such diverse bands as Converge, Turbonegro, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Black Flag, but the fact is they have made their very own brand.
As a live act there is no comparison to The Revolt’s energy-fuelled blowouts. Every show is like a hardcore ballet of spastic limbs, rotating guitars, blood and sweat. They play like every show is their last, musically peaking with extreme riffs and light speed rhythms, before taking it down to an almost ambient level, creating dark anarchic soundscapes.
