NABFEME is the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment; a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the support and empowerment of women of color in recorded music, the media and related entertainment industry fields. NABFEME is committed to the development of support programs and the creation of alliances that will assist our members in achieving their personal and professional goals.

NABFEME was launched in February 1999 with a mission to raise the profile and elevate the awareness of Black women in music and entertainment. NABFEME accomplishes its mission through activities that foster empowerment, education, mentoring, career development and networking.
NABFEME-Philly are professional women that understand that advancement is bigger than one woman working alone. Women that are looking at the "bigger" picture of success and realizes that there is enough room for everyone to shine and be who they are, naturally.
For the brothas: We have always welcomed male involvement in what we do at NABFEME and that involvement has received many mixed reactions.
NABFEME Philly is committed to building a foundation of professionals, students, business owners and community leaders that will bring a synergy to Philadelphia and the tri-state area entertainment industry. NABFEME Philly mission is to be the premiere organization for change; action and productivity for progressive people specifically women of color. Our main objective is to provide guidance and resources to students, aspiring professionals and entrepreneurs through our educational workshops, networking mixers and partnering with community organizations. We will provide an emotional, mental and career mentoring support system for women currently involved or aspiring to become involved in or affiliated with the various aspects of the entertainment industry by developing programs designed to assisting women in their career/entrepreneurial goals.
