Studio
Think Tank Recording Studio® is a 24 track digital (24bit/192khz) residential recording studio located in Severna Park, Maryland near Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington D.C. It's a full service automated audio and MIDI facility with a control room, drum room, ISO room, acoustic room and lounge. The studio designed to accommodate recording needs from start to finish. Think Tank is a comfortable place to record with amenities including the lounge area equipped with couches, a TV, DVD player and X-Box.
Equipment
Think Tank uses equipment by top of the line manufacturers including Apogee, UREI, Soundcraft, Avalon, API, Neumann, Pearlman, Royer, Great River, Dynaudio, Focusrite, Drawmer, and Empirical Labs. This is the same gear frequently found in the world's best studios. Such high end equipment coupled with years of experience ensures quality recordings. Think Tank has a plethora of instruments, pedals and amplifiers by Martin, Fender, Gibson, PRS, G&L, Roland, Rickenbacker, Marshall, Visual Sounds, Sans Amp and Line6 available to all clients. Use your own instruments or try some of ours. The goal is to get the sound that you want.Â

Aside from the high quality pre-amplifiers, compressors and instruments Think Tank has an impressive microphone collection including tube, condenser, dynamic and ribbon mics. Our main recording DAW software is Cakewalk's Sonar but we also utilize Steinberg's Nuendo and Cubase. Other software includes Steinberg Wavelab, Sony Sound Forge and Acid, Fruity Loops, Universal Audio UAD-1, Waves Diamond, Antares Auto Tune, MOTU Symphonic Instrument, Drumagog and a continually increasing list of plug-ins and virtual instruments. We also have a sample library over fifty gigabytes and growing.
Experience
With over a decade of recording experience Think Tank owner and chief engineer Craig Tambascio has significant recording knowledge and skill. A musician and composer Craig holds a bachelors degree in music. A solid musical background and many years studying and training in record production guarantees excellent results.
