About Me

I just added some pictures from a recent trip to Centralia, PA. If you don't know what is so special about Centralia, It is the site of an underground coal fire that has been burning since the 1960's.
The town is all but abondoned now. The fires underground have made the land unstable, but there are a few residents remaining. On a good day, you can see many vents of smoke, steam and gasses escaping from the ground all over. A short section of Route 68 leading into town was closed some time ago because the fires had caused the road to buckle, bulge, and split open. It truely is a very interesting place to visit. We ventured all over the countryside around Centralia, but the most active and visible signs of the coal fires are in the most easily accessable places.
Here's a little self-plug link action. Jump on over to Daily Insanity . I'm a contributor to this blog that is just random posting of pictures, mainly from cameraphones from three bored Project Team members.
Can I get a little help?
I've been spending a lot of time with this MySpace hobby, and have a concept, but not enough knowledge to implement it. What I want to do is; you see that Picture up top that reads "SysCruncher's MySpace Page?" I want to replace that with another image (easy), and I want to make an image map (also easy). The trick is that I want to have the image map in that Network Banner area (not so easy.) If you know how to do that, could you drop me a line? Even if you have seen it elsewhere on MySpace, toss me a link. I'm pretty good at hacking apart HTML. Thanks. ^_^
The creepy image above will lead you to a noteworthy post from The Burgh Blog giving a spot-on impression of the new Steeler mascot. What's "The Burgh Blog," you ask? See PittGirl under the "Who I'd like to Meet" heading. If you are actually interested in submitting a vote for this atrocity, you can do so at KDKA.com .
Something is just so eerily true about this. Don't you think?
Here's a collection of odd and/or humorous videos. Warning: This is some seriously geeky stuff here. If you don't enjoy sci-fi, anime, or just plain old bizzare and funny stuff then you're out of luck.
Clear Skies
An awesome AMV based on the Kaleido Star anime. This was the winner in this year's Tekkoshocon AMV contest in the upbeat category. You can download this video in much better quality directly from the creator, SenshiMamoru , of Visualized Nightmare Studios, or you can find it at AnimeMusicVideos.org .
Stacy's Mom AMV
The Fountains of Wayne song, done to Hare+Guu (Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu.)
Senshi on Springer
The Weird Al song Jerry Springer with scenes from Sailor Moon. This one is much funnier if you know the Sailor moon story well, and the differences between the origional version, and the version released for American television. Especially the genders that were changed among the two versions.
Star Trek Bohemian Rhapsody
Another Music video of sorts. It features scenes from the Star Trek animated series to a sound track parody of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
