Who is JeanPaul?
The band originated in Washington Square Park, in the heart of Greenwich Village, New York City, a public venue which has entertained the public with live music for decades.
Legendary artists, including Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and The Mamas and The Papas, have all began their careers playing in the park.
After a couple of summers of performing in Washington Square Park, Jp decided to form his own band.
Comprising of both professional musicians, and local talent; a passionate ensemble was formed. The combination of a variety of musical influences - from funk and soul, to motown and 70's rock and roll combined to create the eclectic sound that characterizes Jp and the Mix today.
