-BMX...one of my passions in life! Nothing beats the pain of the falls, the glory of learning that one trick you've been trying for so long, or landing that tailwhip that's landed on your already bloody shin so many times before. Shredding Schools, Metro Stations, Government Buildings, a trash bin, and pretty much creating a line to perform the sickest tricks anywhere! Out of a broken sidewalk, a slanted tree, an indoor skatepark or even a pile of dirt. The trips in the Metro to that one skatepark miles and miles away from here and the feel of getting there after an hour or two of anxious commuting. The trip to Ventura County to that one "indoor street" skatepark filled with envyous skater's eyes staring at the height in which one could elevate with a bike and the complexity of the tricks performed with 25 plus pounds of metal, which could not compare to their little wooden board tricks. Defying gravity ridng the wall as high as your speed takes you and then faster! Riding 30 minutes or more to get to that one spot where you have that perfect jump, gap, ledge, rail, or even that piece of perfect real state of flatland. Making the most out of nothing. Trying to stay out of trouble when you're looking for trouble! Avoiding police as they look for you. avoiding unsafe drivers and fucking cholos that just want your bike cause they have nothing better to do or steal. All of this and more for a passion...all of these for BMX!

-Sadly I have walked away from my sport...walked away from my passion...I gain weight, and most likely lost some skill, but not for long! I WILL RIDE BMX AGAIN! maybe not soon, but I will! I will go back to doing what I love!

Countdown Begins To Furious Draft Weekend

Let the countdown begin. The draft is five weeks out. Arranging priorities and ranking prospects is largely complete. What remains is a rundown of questions the Eagles have to answer between now and the hours late into the night on April 27, when players not drafted are signed in the frenzy for the valuable talent.

Angels come from behind, top Dodgers

Mike Napoli slugged a two-run homer in the seventh inning to give the Angels the lead. The Angels scored another run that inning on Nathan Haynes' infield single.

-Tequila is like wine...you can only buy the best! (or at least you should!) and although for some, Patrón Silver is a bit overpriced, why would you pay or think you'll pay less for a premium tequila like this? -Mojito is a traditional Cuban cocktail which became popular in the United States during the late 1980s, and has recently seen a resurgence in popularity.A mojito is traditionally made of five ingredients: rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime, carbonated water and mint. Its combination of sweetness and refreshing citrus and spearmint flavors are intended to mask the potent kick of the rum, and have made this clear cocktail a popular summer drink. Many hotels in Havana also add Angostura bitters to cut the sweetness of the mojito; while a popular variation, it is not the original version created in La Bodeguita del Medio.To make a Mojito, juice from a lime is added to sugar and mint leaves in a tall glass. The mixture is then gently mashed repeatedly with a muddler. Crushed ice is then added, followed by rum and topped off with club soda.The word mojito is derived from the diminutive of the word Mojo!

...and if you want a true Cuban Mojito, the best rum to go with would be "Havana Club"...Good luck getting that in the U.S. though!

-Switching up the topic a little, I would like to explain a little about one of my favorites brand of cigars, the Cohiba. A new brand which was introduced only in 1968, Cohiba quickly became the flagship brand of the Cuban cigar industry. Developed initially as a medium bodied protocol cigar for presentation only by officials of the Cuban government, Cohiba was marketed widely beginning in 1982. The initial sizes were the Lancero, the Corona Especiale and the Panetela, with the Esplendido, Robusto and Exquisito added in 1989. In 1992, in salute to the 500th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the Caribbean, the Siglo series was introduced.
The Cohiba series was initially made in the El Laguito factory in Havana, but production is now also in the Fernando Perez German factory. This cigar is definitely one of the best you could ever smoke! It is a little difficult to get Cohiba cigars in the U.S. for being a cuban product, but once you get to light one up, you'll love it!
