About Me

A DJ for many years, I started by mixing in my youth for carnivals; Soca, Calypso, Soul and records belonging to my brothers and sister such as; Glam, Punk and New Wave. In recent years I ran the legendary club night Fursdeee at Matt & Matts in Islington and various one-offs in and around Central London as part of the Casualty Brothers collective, of which Im a co-founder. Recently my sets have consisted of Old Skool Hip Hop, Techno, Break Beat and anything in-between. I have co-produced and engineered recent i-tunes signing, Sunset People among others, and Im currently working on my own music. Keep checking back here for new tracks and mixes. Audio Spyder.

Influences: too many to mention but I guess my time with Old Skool rave & house comes through in my music as does my love of 60's music (there's quite often a variation on the hammond organ sound in my work). Classical strings are I think the most soulful emotional sound that can be made and I plan to use this influence a lot more. Despite my quite eclectic tastes I tend to make music that in some way reflects how I'm feeling at the time rather than to sound like my musical heroes. The fact that many of the tracks have a quiet broooding dark sound to them probably says a little more than I care to go into right now! lol. Love all percussion and drums and this is what makes or breaks a track for me. From a dj-ing point of view I'm heavily influenced by Adam Freeland of late, not to mention of course, Norman & Joey Jay, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills. All o fthese have a unique way of using music and really stand out from others. Artist wise my influences are very eclectic and include, John Foxx, The Sex Pistols, Steel Pulse, Lee Scratch Perry, The Clash, Basement Jaxx, Leftfield, Juan Atkins, The Prodigy, Freeland, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Kinks, Siouxie & The Banshees, Bob Marley, Laurent Garnier, Kraftwerk, Madness, The Specials, Sunset People, Hard Fi, The Beat, Depeche Mode, The Jam, Roy Ayers, John Carpenter, Philip Glass, Eminem, The Streets, De La Soul, The Jungle Brothers, Sterling Void, Marshall Jefferson, 808 State, Paul Weller, Gary Numan, The Incredible Bongo Band, The Human League, Armand Van Helden, Athlete, Marc Bolan and T-Rex, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, The Dubliners, Radiohead, Chemical Brothers, Gospel Music in general, Latin Rhythms, Les Rhthyms Digitales, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg. There are lots more but I'm a bit brain dead now. I may add more when I've re-charged.

A funny thing happened on the way to sleep...

So there I was nodding off at about 1:00am and Orchestral Manouvre keeps running through my head as I fall asleep.  I wake up 45 mins later with a verse and a half and the chorus and (rough) tune...
