Organic, melodic and entrancing, A compelling solo artists. Dewey's music showcases his extraordinarily rich sound on contemplative compositions.
Deweys performance is a blend of classical, jazz, and ambient with, at times, a sitar like Indian influence. If this seems hard to imagine, and it really does have to be seen to be understood, try this. Picture an acoustic guitar held in a typical fashion; the left hand is tapping on the neck to produce sharp, pointed notes while the right hand is pressing and sliding down or up the strings. Now, imagine this action is simultaneously punctuated by percussion performed on the guitar body.
Visually, the show is equally powerful, as Dewey spins and stretches to reach each string, sometimes a quick storm of notes, plucked and taped, at other times bending the neck of the guitar back upon itself to create a lush and wailing sound.
"He doesn't play guitar as much as he makes these great sounds. He puts the sounds together and gets an incredible melody[Dewey] is passionate with his guitar. Whether he has to strum, bend, bang or hit he gets the sound out of it. Whatever it takes. Sometimes he strikes, sometimes he cradles, but all the time, its amazing."

"His current recordings are essentially solo efforts in which the illusion of an ensemble is created by the composer's playing style. Dewey's intention is not to play the guitar according to tradition, but to combine modes of expression from all around the physical and musical world. He is an acoustic artist who often develops unconventional performance techniques in a continuing effort to explore organic music." -Mason Rivlin, MRC Records
