About Me

Congratulations JOHN! Show it off proudly!
I was one of the fortunate ones who was honored to attended the Songwriter's Hall of Fame Induction and see John Rzeznik accept the Hal David Starlight Award. It was a night to remember. Thank you John and Absolute Goo.
God has blessed me with a son with Asperger's Syndrome. It's a challenge, but a rewarding one.
If you are unfamiliar with Asperger's Syndrome, it is an Autistic Specturm Disorder (ASD). Asperger's children are on the higher functioning end of the spectrum. Our son's issues are mostly with interaction with his peers. Things that most people take for granted, those with ASDs need to learn, then remember to do. He has difficulity gaging his emotions, respecting other's personal space, picking up social cues, listening to others, and judging what is appropriate behavior in public. He has trouble having 2-sided conversations. He becomes obsessive over some topics and only wants to focus on what interests him.
A very big THANK YOU to Dick Prall for the Song Long Play
I'm a happily married mom of 3. I grew up in Cape May, NJ. I spent some time as a service brat, living in Florida and Texas, but I am happy to be back home in New Jersey.I am a little bit of a music junkie. It's nice to have a place to escape to when life gets a little too difficult. When I was younger, I used to hide in my closet with my 8-track, (yep - I'm that old) headphones and tapes I could steal from my older brothers. It was usally The Eagles, The Beatles, The Who, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen. Now that I am older, I find that music is still what makes me my happiest.
I'm not much of a TV watcher. I like to read, but I find I just don't have the time. I like to put my CD player or iPod and get things done in my house.
As you might be able to tell....I am a fan of the Goo Goo Dolls. They are a great band with great music and put on a great show. Catch one if you can.
I love Crowded House as well. Here is Neil Finn with brother Tim performing my favorite song:
Four Seasons in One Day - Crowded House.. ..
This one makes me cry. So emotional during a tribute to Paul Hestor shortly after his death.
Neil Finn - Better Be Home Soon
My newest favorite...
Dick Prall - B&W
This *used to be* my son's favorite song. He is 11 and has Aspergers Syndrome. It is an Autistic Spectrum disorder. I can understand why this song is special to him.
(Update...Chris' new favorite song is "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter. Well? Everybody would like a free ride. Right?)
