I'm currently playing guitar in The Spurgie Hankins Band. Our regular gigs consist of Tuesday's at The Empty Glass. We also do an acoustic show on Sundays at The Glass, on night that Mountain Stage IS NOT recording in town. It's all original music from Charleston's favorite singer/songwriter, Spurgie Hankins.I used to play in a little unknown band, Jarvis Skye. In that band, we started out playing all covers, for the most part, that we liked. We'd play an occasional party tune but for the most part we played classic and new rock. We started working on originals and had a good set of them after a little while. All of this was done with some of the members living 5 or 6 hours away. Needless to say, it didn't last.
Other than that, I hang out at home trying my best to be a good dad. I manage to write & record a little at home, too. With any luck all of the new little hooks and riffs I create can work there way to a live stage in near/not-so near future.
