TASTE OF HUDSON Sunday/Monday September 6 & 7

About Me

The 5th Annual (2009)
Taste of Hudson Festival

will be on Sunday and Monday
September 6th & 7th, 2009
Here is our lineup for 2009 Taste of Hudson:
If for some reason I messed up and haven't gotten back to you yet, please accept my appologies, I'm a volunteer and all my coworkers and staff are volunteer. If you contacted me and haven't heard back WRITE TO ME AGAIN AT matthewlerner @ yahoo.com (remove the blank spaces on each side of @).
Speaking of volunteers, we can use your help, musical or otherwise. Non-performing volunteers are needed, too!
For 2009 we will probably have of five stages again.
TO GET BOOKED AT
TASTE OF HUDSON :

It is very important that your act be "family friendly". We also try to book acts that appeal to people of all ages, though we will vary from this for a few acts. We try to have a mix of styles and give preference to bands with a "Hudson" connection, but we also hire quite a few non-Hudson groups. The Taste of Hudson is a charity event, so we DON'T pay much, but we do pay a little. Most adult acts get about $25-50 person for a 60-120 minute slot, and teens get about $10-20. I know that's not enought to make a living, but I hope the exposure is good for you. Also, you can keep everything you make from CD or merchandise sales.
If you have performed here just once before, there is a good chance you will invite you back, but we also want to add new acts to keep the festival fresh and also we try to give some more people an opportunity.
The best way to apply is to set up a myspace site for your music and upload a few songs and a few pictures. Then become our "myspace friend" and write to us about your band/music. IT IS BEST TO CONTACT ME ON REGULAR EMAIL, NOT MYSPACE email. My email is matthewlerner @ yahoo.com (remove the blank spaces on each side of @).
You will need to tell us if there are any times on SUNDAY or MONDAY that you CAN NOT play, and also if you have any preferences about when you can play.
We will provide a professional sound system and an engineer.
We go on RAIN OR SHINE! UNTIL THE CONTRACT IS SIGNED, WE CAN NOT PROMISE YOU A SPOT.
You can visit our official website at www.tasteofhudson.com but don't try to contact us through there or myspace, it will only slow you down... contact us at through regular email: matthewlerner @ yahoo.com (remove the blank spaces on each side of @).
