PAOLO AMULFI, Paolo Amulfi was born in Florence. He began to study guitar when he was 10, devoting himself to the rock and blues music.
Afterwards he began his live concerts activity (in the mid 70s) playing with various bands (rock, blues, funky, metal, fusion etc.) From 1987 to 1993 he thaught electric guitar in the Lizard School of Fiesole where he mainly hold courses of rock and blues music. In 1994 he built up the Blues Power Band playing for some years in the pubs and at the festivals in the north of Europe; with this group he succeeds in showing his strong aptitudes towards the blues music performing above all passages from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Recently he has created the Paolo Amulfi Band. He has published three methods for guitar, edited by Berben: "Il blues Elettrico", "Classic Sound" and "La Chitarra Ritmica" (the last one in cooperation with the guitarist Luigi Gagliardi). For some years he cooperated with the magazine "Chitarre", publishing transcriptions in the index book "chitarra rock". In 1998 he founded, with Luigi Gagliardi and Gianni Zei, the Guitar Training project... Funplugged is the name of the duo Paolo Amulfi and Laura Vicini, which has been playing for some years in Italy and in the north of Europe performing passages from the pop, rock and blues repertoire in unplugged version. With the duo Funplugged he won the "EMERGENZA ACOUSTIC FESTIVAL" award as best guitarist...He plays the bass in the rock/blues band Blu Tail. He plays sessions in records, soundtrack's production and in important tours for many Italian artists: Anna Oxa, Gianni Morandi, Marco Masini, Mia Martini, Aleandro Baldi, Francesca Alotta, Alessandro Canino, Dik Dik, Camaleonti, Maurizio Vandelli, Federico Salvatore, Marco Baroni, Ka Bizzarro, G. Povia, Ima, M. Fiori, L. Tamberi., M. Ortiz, Gosia Pearl...
