At the age of 12 he started writing rap songs and thats also when his family was falling apart. He left the house at the age of 14 to persue his rap career with no luck he didn't completely give up. At the age of 18 while living in Brooklyn on Pacific street his homegirl Toka took him to the Billy Holiday Theatre where he met Buddha Monk from Brooklyn Zoo and Papa-Wu he spent like 2 and 1/2 weeks in the studio listening to beats and writing songs. In 1999 he then traveled to Albany, NY with Buddha Monk and other artist from Brooklyn Zoo camp. Grimez Region's name wasn't always Grimez Region his name once was Meastro but due to the fact of a snitch whos name was also Meastro he changed his name to seperate himself from being labeled a "snitch". When Grimez Region arrived in Albany, NY and met a guy named Jermaine Boyd AKA S-Dot the Sandman who is currently doing time in a state penitentary.
