Hello everyone!
My name is Rita Moore, Chupy to some of my friends, and I am a sequential artist (my way of saying "I'm an artist that tells a story through a series of illustrations"). Currently, I'm working on a comic called FLIP: RELAPSE, a 20 issue series aiming for release Summer 2007. I do some work on the side as well but not enough to quit my day job.
I've done some work for the National Center for Farmworker Health, making illustrations for health education materials. For an internship, I worked on the first issue of the comic DARKSTAR by Visioneerz Studios/ Stargazer Comics.
For about 4 yrs I attended the Art Institute of Colorado, graduating with my BA in Media Arts and Animation in 2005. While in school, I determined my career would be in visual storytelling as a storyboard artist or comic book artist. So after school, I felt I needed a project I could really devote myself to and feel proud of doing. FLIP: RELAPSE is that project. This title has spurred me into disciplining myself to hit deadlines, manage the process, and build confidence in my own success.
