Jayme David Silverstein was born in Manhattan in
1985. Although he was raised in northern New Jersey
and Los Angeles, he refers to New York as home. Jayme
started playing electric bass at the age of 12 but had
played classical piano for years before that.
Currently, Jayme is playing all around the country
with various bands in many genres. You can find him
playing at all kinds of venues but you will always
find him playing at church. Jayme has had the
pleasure of playing with Roberta Flack, Swizz Beats, Jaguar Wright, Narada Michael Walden, Eric Lewis, Anthony Evans,
Kendra Ross, Cecil Bridgewater, Ron Grant, Curtis
Smith, Dick Oatts and Valerie Simpson among others.
Besides being a sideman, Jayme also produces R&B type tracks
for many artists in the city and heads two of his own bands,
Learning Curve and HeavyHanded. Jayme is a graduate of the
Manhattan School of Music. Jayme Silverstein plays Fodera Basses and DR strings.
