Psychedelic art and poster art, Peter Max, Stanley Mouse, Wes Wilson, Martin Sharp, Vargas Girls, Aubrey Beardsley, music, rocking out in my car by myself, the woods, beading, handbags and shoes (naturally), raspberries, organizational containers, toast, glitter, Legos, my 2 cats, Christmas (especially wrapping presents), tiny things, most kinds of cereal, necklaces, donuts from the Korner Bakery, KU Basketball, hot weather, high heels, sexy underwear, Steve McQueen, anything that's tragically beautiful, lost souls, and a good harmonica solo.
I'd like to meet:
Some cool people in Kansas City instead of the lame Johnson County people that surround me. Mostly dead people otherwise like Jimi Hendrix, Ken Kesey, Neil Cassady, George Harrison, John Lennon, Teddy Roosevelt. And a few living ones Christopher Walken, Kate Hudson, Carmen Electra, Alice Cooper, Ray Manzarek, Robert Plant, Rapunzel.
What the hell? You can help this girl fall through the bubbles with your mouse when she gets stuck. Weird...
This is too clever and funny. From Mad TV: "The iRack"
The most amazing bird ever. I mean, it frickin' plays golf!
Music:
Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Cream/Eric Clapton, Ten Years After, Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Thorogood, Jimi Hendrix, The MC5, Blue Cheer, Tom Petty, Liz Phair, Lisa Loeb, John Mellencamp, ACDC, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Alice Cooper, The Doors, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Beastie Boys, Beck, Incubus, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, STP, The Black Keys, Buddy Guy, Leslie West/Mountain, Canned Heat, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Byrds, Guns 'n' Roses, Jet, Humble Pie, West Bruce and Lange, Big Brother and the Holding Company/ Janis Joplin, John Lee Hooker, Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa, The Kinks, King Crimson, The Who, Traveling Wilburys, Dire Straits, Al Green, old Santana, Some Ozzy, No Doubt, Nirvana, the occasional Seger or Neil Diamond, I'll even admit to ELO and Journey. Oh, there's still lots more...
Movies:
The Royal Tennenbaums, Dazed and Confused, The Big Lebowski, and Almost Famous. I can watch those movies over and over and over and never get tired of them. I adore The Graduate! I also love to watch things that I taped off TV in the 80's. Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead is great and highly quotable, too. The Godfather is also a cinematic jem.
Television:
I probably enjoy the telly too much. Cartoons of the Adult Swim variety, SNL, absurd reality TV like The Surreal Life and I Love New York, The Golden Girls, The History Channel, Gameshow Network reruns of Matchgame featuring Gene Rayburn's fantastic suits, and dreamy Richard Dawson on the Family Feud.
Books:
The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, The Bell Jar, House of Mirth, Slaughterhouse Five, 1984, Walden, The Secret, Hammer Of The Gods (the unofficial Led Zeppelin bio - some great stories in there). I tend to read a good book over and over.
Heroes:
Both my mom and dad (Paul Judy and Judy, or Judy and Zebbie), my sassy whisky-drinkin' grandma Jean Connelly, George Harrison, The Merry Pranksters, Cynthia Plaster Caster (look her up), Janis Joplin, Teddy Roosevelt, Margaret Sanger, Dolly Parton, Hugh Hefner, The Traveling Wilburys, whomever invented fruit-filled pastries.
