I am here for Friends

About Me

I am a Structural Engineer by day who has always loved to play southern rock and blues guitar, stuff like Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Santana, Clapton and Radiators. Last year I joined the Razors Band, a great bunch of music lovers who have the passion to play. I am lucky to have found such a special place to enjoy the music I love to play. The band had a huge selection of music down when I joined, and has indulged some of my suggestions adding new music. If you live in the Bethesda, Maryland area and would like to hire the Razors Band, please see the band website at www.myspace.com/therazorsband. I also like to talk and listen, so just hearing your story would be great.

My Interests

Music, golf, hanging out with my daughter, lying in the sun at the beach with a cold beer and nothing to do. I work hard and leave it at work. I like to be with friends who are happy to be on the planet and look for the good in people.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a story to share, or a song to play. I try to look for the best in everyone I meet.Fulsom Prison Blues by The Razors Band at Outta The Way Cafe, October 26, 2007.Monte Montgomery "Little Wing" Unreal :)Blue Sky with The Razors Band October 30, 2007Allman Brothers

Music:

Allman Brothers, Dead, Little Feat, Radiators, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Mathews, Dixie Dregs, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Blues Traveler, late 60's early 70's..........

Movies:

The Matrix, Contact, Saving Private Ryan, Terminator, Cars (with Sarah), The Last Waltz,

Television:

too much news, ER, Medium, Discovery and History channels, Bionic Woman, you get the idea

Books:

Fountainhead, trashy suspense novels, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Heroes:

My parents for putting up with loud music and other crap when I was growing up and not sending me away, but instead supporting me all the way to self sufficiency. My musical heros are unfortunately mostly dead from a variety of causes, including homocide, being hit by a peach truck on a motorcycle, and going down in a helicopter. John Lennon, Hendrix, Duane Allman, Lowell George, Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn and others still alive of course...I guess when you die in your prime with so much unfulfilled potential you often get hero status regardless of the reason, or one's talent. A hero in my book is also someone who sacrifices everything just trying to survive or do the right thing. The brave souls on Flight 93 and all the soldiers fighting for our right to bitch about just about everything.
