A living contradiction: A rock drummer who actually holds a respectable job in a successful career. And is a family man to boot! Modern science is still puzzling over it. Perhaps they'll preserve me in the Smithsonian. But seriously, you may know me from a range of different hats I wear. I've been a drummer for about 20 years and I've worked with kids for about 22 years. If you're wondering where you've seen me play, I've been in over a dozen Southern Illinois Bands including; Calling 12 (with Rich Fabec), Route 66, The Ridgemonts, Badger, The Welfare Brothers, and Outlaw Justice just to name a few. Currently I'm playing with the Rich Fabec Band and we're taking our original "Scorchin' Blues" to a broader audience this year. So far we're on the road to Louisville, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Kansas City, Champaign and Springfield IL. The RFB really suits my style of playing. We're definitely bluesy but with a funky and occassionally hard edge. My bandmates are great and we're having a blast! If you're wondering where you've seen me professionally, I manage several different youth programs including Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central IL. I've been doing a lot of public speaking lately on culture shift and the social isolation of young people. I work with an awesome team of professionals and we've created a lot of good momentum on kids issues in the past couple of years. I'm a huge proponent of the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Asset Framework and do a lot of trainings on how we can grow assets in young people and reduce problems like drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy, violence and school drop-out. Check us out at www.devassets.comI've also been fortunate to be in youth ministry for several years now. Among my top friends you'll find some awesome high school and college age young people who are emerging as strong leaders. Most of them are Christian and unashamed to say so.I've been truly blessed. The Lord has saved me from sin and given me an incredible purpose for my life. I love music, my family, young people, and most of all...My Lord and Savior Jesus. Thanks for stopping by, I'd love it if you'd add me as a friend!
