About Me
Built in january 1969, I've endured harsh winters and hot summers rollin in the midwest. Going on 500 thousand miles, I have seen a lot of road in America. So much maintenance over the years, -250 oil changes, 10 new sets of tires, 4 engines, 4 transmissions, 9 brake jobs, 3 radiators, 6 starters, 3 sets of wheels, 12 batteries, 7 alternators, 4 water pumps, 5 fuel pumps, 2 carburators, 6 mufflers, 2 intake manifolds, 3 exhaust manifolds, 5 motor mounts, 2 brake boosters, 5 master cylinders, 2 fuel lines, 2 fuel tanks, 3 heater cores, 2 blower motors, 2 instrument clusters, 6 distributors, 4 brake calipers, new wiring and relays, h4 headlights, new axle brake lines, shortened driveshaft to fit my new 700r4. Now I cruise 70mph at 2000rpm! -So refreshing!
Finally retired from the midwest a couple of years ago. Now I reside in San Diego where I recently had all of my body fixed and painted. The same Guy has been driving me for 13 years. His parents gave my keys to him and have been in their family since 86'. Lovin the salt free roads and cool nights. Summer is great too! -those century mark days are long gone. Except for my recent journey back home july 05' -4300 miles in two and a half weeks. Eastern Cali is blazing in the dog days! No sweat for a veteran like yours truly! -Whatcha know about switchin lanes on the woodgrain?
