ROCKSVILLE

About Me

Rocksville never had a founding member. Lead guitarist, Travis Mullins (Skitch), and drummer, Jason Shields (J-Grease) played a lot together as they are cousins. And so they found their interest in all the different roots of rock. Still, after playing for a few years together, they felt as though there was a piece missing and kept their eyes open for a third member. Finally, in early 2001 their bassist, Brandon Dixon (Vegas), found his way into the band, having the same love of rock and rockabilly. They quickly clicked, Jason sold his upright bass to Brandon, and he picked up the instrument like a natural. After a few months of practice at they're friend Ron's house and at the local aquaduct the band had something going. With enough confidence built up they asked Ron, member of band Route 66, if they could join in on a gig of his, maybe play a set during their break. Ron agreed and as they played the crowd was pleasantly surprised with what they heard. Being recieved so well gave them the drive to become something better, and so with some Jack, Lucky's and Mad Dog, they frequented the aqueduct and really tuned themselves in. With Travis' outstanding ability to play just about anything with strings and creativity with lyrics, Brandon's slappin' Bull Fiddle (as he calls it) beat, and Jason's enthusiasm and rockin' drumming, Rocksville quickly gained popularity. Now they play all over the place, putting on great shows and having a good time doing what they love. The band would like to thank the following Ron and Conny Bartoli The Howards Route 66 The Craze The Hot Rod Rebels The High Desert Cruisers car club and all of our friends
