Familiars Unseen

FAMILIARS UNSEEN is a long-standing brotherhood between two very unique artists. Since high school, Disco and Fau could be found battling for the freshest moment of the day. This consisted of anything from beatboxin, scratchin, rappin, vocal riffs, impersonations, crate digging, dancing... you name it! Needless to say, Disco and Fau have always been on the same page. They attribute that to being left-handed. They started making vibe tapes. Vibe tapes were full of random lines taken from songs, two measure jazz loops(often recorded on a whole side of a tape.), and songs they made which were usually one verse long. Not many in their circle grasped the vibes entirely, if at all. It was others inability to see what they were doing that actually labeled the "Unseen Vibe".OVER THE YEARS, Disco and Fau have had the good fortune of meeting and/or working with some of the industry's elite players. It was unfortunate that no one knew how to capitalize on their brilliance at that time. They were later introduced to James " J- Dilla" Yancey who became their inspiration to this day for not fitting in a box when it comes to your life's passion.TODAY Familiars Unseen are accompanied with a full length album that has literally been a lifetime in the making and it is nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!! This first release is appropriately titled " Grown and Fresh". It plays out like the vibe tapes they've always made since the beginning. Grown and Fresh is real music for real people. If you can't catch this vibe...then i guess it speaks volumes about you!
