A large interest of our association is cultural exchange, our members have regular opportunities to travel and meet Hontai Yoshin Ryu students and instructors from around the world. Check out our pics...
We'd like to meet you. Beginners are welcome.
The age limit for beginning training is 8 years old for juniors, and 14 to 16 years of age for seniors (this is decided on an individual basis).
All our instructors are CRB checked and we operate in accordance with the associations child protection policy.
Training is conducted in a friendly and safe environment. The training environment is traditional and the etiquette practiced by us is the same as practiced in Japan (see blog).

Entry requirements for our Association are basically that you are of good character and reasonable physical health. Although you do not need to be particularly physically fit or need any degree of flexibility to begin Jujutsu practice, it is a pre-requisite that you do not have a criminal background (including by association!), a history of violence, mental illness or communicable diseases.
As a matter of course we reccomend that you consult your doctor prior to beginning training.
Loud please :-)
To our knowledge, the only book written in English and relating to Hontai Yoshin Ryu, is Clearing Away the Clouds: Nine Lessons from the Martial Arts by USA branch Chief Stephan Fabian. We have copies available through the club...
